The Digital Carnet Era Has Arrived 📱✈️ For years, a lot of extraordinary car movements across borders have relied on one crucial piece of paper: the ATA Carnet. Those who have worked with ATA Carnets know the drill — the careful coordination, the precision timing, the physical document that had to be in exactly the right hands at exactly the right moment. It worked. But it always demanded a lot. As of June 1st, 2026, a new digital era has begun! The ICC’s new Digital ATA Carnet (eATA) system has officially gone live across 30 countries, including the UK, the entire European Union, Switzerland, and Norway. Last week, the Pro-Logist team was honoured to be invited to the F1 paddock and attend the Barcelona Grand Prix 2026 ​​🇪🇸 — the race where Lewis Hamilton took his first win for Ferrari and the podium went all-British for the first time since 1968. But what stood out most wasn't on the track. The F1 paddock is one of the most demanding logistical operations on the planet. Every hospitality unit, every technical component, every piece of equipment — moved, assembled, and operational on an immovable deadline, across 24 venues a year, no exceptions. There is something deeply fitting about that history. A venue built on speed, precision, and ambition continuing to inspire the next generation. Seeing and especially hearing iconic McLarens, Ferraris, and bespoke RML Porsches up close and on the runway was incredible, but the real highlight was the access. Having manufacturers and engineers on the ground, ready to talk through every detail of their craft, made it unforgettable.
